Since the age of smartphones and portable devices, including laptops, the need for rechargeable batteries is on the increase and is growing substantially in recent years. We use a Ni-Mh cylindrical cell as its rechargeable battery and it must be noted that in the case of this type of rechargeable battery it is important not to overcharge the battery cell. This could lead to decreased capacity and irreparable damage. It is highly recommended to completely discharge and recharge the battery once in a while to minimize loss in capacity.
A few words about what a rechargeable battery is before we go on to the specifications. A rechargeable battery can also be defined as a storage battery. The most important feature of this kind of battery is that it can be recharged many times. This is in comparison to a disposable or primary battery which comes complete as a fully charged battery, does not have the function to be recharged and is thrown out after use.
