The Livery

The Story

The Livery is a craft brewery located in downtown Benton Harbor, Michigan. It features 16 taps (two nitro) of their own “Hand-Forged” craft beer, 2 Real Ale taps, a pet-friendly outdoor beer garden, and a kitchen serving locally sourced food, focusing on spent-grain pizza. Music and other live entertainment are regularly featured in The Upper Livery entertainment venue. The rustic charm, cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff will make you feel right at home.

The Problem

Management at The Livery was looking for a solution that would allow food runners to locate customers quickly, that way food was delivered in the fastest time possible. They opted for printed numbers that were given to each customer once they ordered so that they could place it on the table they wish to sit at. Once the food was ready a food runner would go and look for that number and deliver the food. This method was not effective as the numbers were hard to easily see and at times very difficult to locate. Many times this would force runners to call out the number making this an inefficient option for customers to receive their order hot and in a timely manner.

The Solution

Once management saw that their method was not giving them the results they were looking for they decided to do some research and find a better solution.
